What is the difference between SleepNet masks and the mask I’m using now?

SleepNet masks are superior to the industry standard. Even though all masks are designed to do the same thing, the similarities end there. The Phantom, IQ, Mojo and MiniMe are made of a single piece flexible shell, with a soft gel cushion that adapts to your facial contours. The IQ and MiniMe go a step further; molded inside the shell is a pliable ring that can be shaped quickly and easily to remove air leaks. There are no tiny pieces that can be misplaced. These features combine to provide total adjustability in a small package.

Where can I get SleepNet masks?

SleepNet masks are regulated medical devices and are available only with a doctor's prescription, and can be purchased wherever CPAP units and masks are sold. If your Durable Medical Equipment (DME) dealer doesn't already carry them, they can order one for you by calling SleepNet at 1-800-742-3646 (US and Canada) or US +1-603-758-6600.

I don’t have a durable medical equipment dealer. Where can I find one?

You can find a qualified dealer by asking your physician, sleep lab technician, or your insurance company for recommendations. You can also find them in the telephone book or on the internet under "Durable Medical Equipment", "Medical Equipment", or "Medical Supplies". Some companies sell through the Internet; you can find them through an online search engine.

What is the warranty of the masks and headgear?

SleepNet masks and headgear have a 90 day warranty on manfacturing defects. The masks and headgear should be replaced every 6 months, but will last longer with normal wear and proper care. This includes washing the mask with a mild soap and water on a daily basis, avoiding sharp objects, and avoiding kneading or repeatedly squeezing the gel cushion. If you have questions, contact your DME or distributor, and have your product bag with lot number available.

Instructions are included with the mask and are available on this website. Click on the flag icons on the mask web pages for instructions in different languages.

Why is the gel or shell a different color?

The original Phantom mask, introduced in August 1997, featured a clear shell and clear gel. Over the years, we have received patient and RT feedback that have helped us perfect our products. In April 2003, SleepNet introduced a blue gel to correspond with the color of the mask shell. If you have a mask with a clear gel cushion, it's O.K. to use. The color is cosmetic and does not affect the quality and function of the mask.
